Browser extension

Browser extension

Get reminded to anonymize sensitive content before it leaves your browser. The extension watches paste events and file uploads on every site, asks Privacy Guard whether they contain personal data, and offers to redact in one click.

Setup

Three steps: install the extension, generate a token here, paste the token and this server's URL into the extension options.

  1. 1. Download & install the extension

    Pick your browser, download the bundle, unzip it, then load it as an unpacked extension.

    Chrome / Edge Firefox
    • Unzip the downloaded archive.
    • Chrome / Edge: open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped folder.
    • Firefox: open about:debugging → "This Firefox" → "Load Temporary Add-on" and pick the manifest.json inside the unzipped folder.
  2. 2. Generate a token

    Use the form below. Each device should get its own token so you can revoke individually.
